Hi, I’m Alister - founder of The Trans Osteo, osteopath, speaker, educator, and passionate advocate for inclusive healthcare.
I’m a proud transgender man, husband, and dad to a wonderful daughter. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me out walking with my dogs, horse riding, or playing touch rugby with the Iceni Rugby team. I also love travelling whenever I can, exploring new places and meeting new people always inspires me.
Alongside my clinical work, I volunteer with the LGBTQ+ Project in Norwich, supporting all members of the LGBTQ+ community and helping to create safer, more inclusive spaces for them.
With over 17 years of experience as an osteopath, I know how powerful respectful, informed care can be. That’s why I’m passionate about educating healthcare professionals, helping to bridge the gaps in understanding, so that trans and gender-diverse patients receive the dignity, respect, and support they deserve.
Through workshops, training, and speaking events, I aim to equip healthcare professionals and teams with the knowledge and confidence to truly make a difference, creating a future where every patient feels safe, seen, and valued.

To raise awareness in the medical community about the lives, challenges, needs, and rights of transgender individuals.
A world where transgender individuals are treated with equality and fairness, allowing them to access healthcare free from fear or judgement.

Transforming Fear into Confidence
My goal is simple:
to inspire real change with confidence and compassion.
Through powerful storytelling and practical advice, I help healthcare professionals move beyond the fear of getting it wrong. Whether that’s saying the wrong thing, offending a transgender or non-binary patient, or feeling unsure how to provide truly inclusive care.
Blending lived experience, professional clinical expertise, and a deep passion for better healthcare for all, my talks offer a fresh, empowering perspective on transgender healthcare training and
inclusive healthcare practices.
My sessions are designed to equip audiences with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to rethink, reframe, and transform how they deliver
transgender patient care. All delivered in a safe and non-judgement environment.
Whether you’re organising a healthcare conference, staff training day, or a special event focused on inclusion and diversity, I bring energy, authenticity, and actionable insight as a trusted LGBTQ+ healthcare speaker, leaving every audience not just informed, but truly motivated to make a meaningful difference.

My workshops are designed to give healthcare professionals the knowledge, tools, and confidence to deliver truly inclusive care for transgender and gender-diverse patients.

Each session provides clear, practical steps that you can implement straight away, helping to turn knowledge into confident, inclusive action. A strong focus is placed on removing the fear many healthcare professionals feel about "getting it wrong", offering supportive, practical guidance to build real confidence when working with trans and gender-diverse patients.
Regular online support is provided throughout the course, offering opportunities to ask questions, gain further insights, and ensure lasting change in clinical practice.

My training is designed for healthcare professionals across all disciplines, from medical staff and allied health professionals to administrative and support teams, who want to provide more respectful, inclusive care for transgender and gender-diverse patients.
Workshops are typically between 2 and 3.5 hours, depending on whether they're delivered online or in person, the number of people attending and the level of customisation required.
Workshops are standalone sessions, ideal for clinic teams looking for focused, practical training. The free masterclass completely changed the way I think about language and clinic setup. I didn’t realise how easy some of the changes could be to make a big difference. Every healthcare professional should hear what Alister has to say.
Alister’s masterclass was eye-opening. He explained everything in such a clear, human way. No jargon, no judgment, just real insight and practical advice. I left feeling more confident and empowered to support our trans patients properly.
